Since founding Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon Kentucky in 2010 Stephen Beam and family have revived the century old Yellowstone brand originally founded by his great grandfather M.C. Beam. With a spate of highly acclaimed and sought after special releases, the renaissance of this brand is under way. Now is the time to get in with perhaps the most accessible release to date. The Select is a vatting of four year old and seven year old bourbons bottled at a smart and very manageable 93 proof. Notes include dried cherries, freshly split lumber, tobacco, rye spice, honey, vanilla and orange peels. If this is a sign of things to come that means there is a lot of great whiskey on the way.
