Tasting Notes

**Hollow by the Mill** Located in Port Ellen on Islay, Lagavulin is the smoky powerhouse of the Diageo Classic Malts selection. Their pot stills are short and fat, which creates a heavy, oily spirit. The 16-year-old expression is rich, heavy, and smoky. It is full-bodied with core fruit notes integrated with robust spice, smoke, tobacco, and seaweed flavors. This dram is either loved or hated for its intensity, but at least every drinker has a definitive opinion on it.
