Tasting Notes

The second distillery after the Glenlivet located next to the River Glen in the heart of Speyside, Tamnavulin was built in the 1960s with a mixture of traditional and modern (for the time) practices with the primary purpose of making malt whisky for blends. Single malt bottlings from the distiller's stocks have been very hard to come by, especially Stateside. Originally bottled for the Italian market and imported by legendary Moon imports, this bottle hails from the famous Veronelli cellar and we estimate it dates to the 1980s. Presented with the original gift box, there is some natural label staining from the decades in cellar but otherwise the bottle is practically new considering the decades that have past. A beautiful bottle and whisky. Only one bottle available.
