Widely noted, and rightfully so, as one of the greatest mezcal producers in the world, the Ángeles Carreño family stays true to centuries old artisan traditions by staying in close touch with nature. This mezcal is made completely naturally and entirely by hand from karwinskii agaves, notably the local very rare Marteño that thrives in this corner of Oaxaca. All of their mezcals are musts but perhaps this new batch even more so than others.
