Zuzu Calamansi Lime Sparkling Agave Cocktail

Item # 44219

Ali Schmidt and Greta Caruso founded Zuzu with a mind towards making balanced, easy-to-enjoy cocktails with zero additives or artificial ingredients, but packed with serious flavor. We were blown away by their initial efforts. Calamansi Lime is made up of only five ingredients: sparkling water, 100% agave spirits, calamansi lime juice, organic agave, and sea salt. Since all the ingredients are natural, some tasty sediment may settle in your Zu. Not to worry, simply turn the bottle over a few times to integrate and enjoy. At only 5% abv, these are seriously drinkable.

Staff Pick Notes

Have you ever taken a sip of something new and realized it was everything you have been looking for? For me it was the Zuzu Calamansi Lime sparkling cocktail. It checks all the boxes: Delicious (always the most important!), female founded, sustainable, made with incredible quality and care during every step of sourcing and production, low abv and calorie, and very convenient! This delightful cocktail is made with 100% agave spirit (similar in flavor to blanco tequila), calamansi lime juice, agave syrup, sea salt, and sparkling water. With just 5g sugar per bottle, it's just sweet enough for balance and low abv enough to drink more than one (you will want to). Think of it as an idealized and refined version of the sad tequila soda with a dried-out lime you'd been ordering to avoid cheap, too-sweet margarita mix. Chill, open, and rejoice!

Agave

Also called “maguey,” agave refers to a family of succulents that are not, surprisingly, related to any cactus. The plants grow in the southwestern United States, Mexico, and Central America. Agave has a sweet, mild flavor when cooked. There are more than 300 agave species; an agave plant takes eight to twelve years to mature. The juice of the blue agave, cultivated primarily in the state of Jalisco, is used to make tequila; other agave species are used to make mezcal, bacanora, sotol, and...

Oregon

The largest wine region in Oregon is the Willamette Valley, lying between the cities of Portland and Eugene and home to most of Oregon’s wineries. As it does not have one homogeneous climate, it has been broken up into several different AVAs. In the best of them, the perfect amounts of wind, rain, sun exposure, and altitude combine to give Pinot Noir the warm days and cool nights it needs in order to thrive. Combine that with good drainage and poor soils, and you’ve got the perfect environment...
