Fine, the great brandy of Burgundy, here made by one of the historic distilling families of the region dating back the 19th Century. Distilled on a continuous small copper alembic a la Armagnac, the spirit also seems to take to wood generously in the same fashion. Stewed fruits mix with rich caramels, old leather, coffee and oak spices. Exquisite.
