L'Encantada Tattoo Series #2 Beacon of Hope Bas-Armagnac

The word has gotten out in certain circles but if you are fatigued from the hype around the majority of limited releases in the whiskey world these days and wondering where to look for truly mind-blowing and accessible stuff, this is what you are looking for. From the preeminent name in the category at the moment, we had a chance to taste this before it was finished at the domaines cellars in France. We knew it was special then but still can't believe how great this turned out. A blend of casks from a small selection of traditional domaines, the previously unblended vintages are split between the 1980s and 1990s. Originally aged in new local Gascon Oak, this blend was individually finished in ex-Weller barrels prior to bottling. Everything is aged between 24-36yrs and the brandy was bottled at a natural cask strength of 46.8%abv. with absolutely zero additives. One of the better bottles you are gonna get your hands on at the moment.
