Half-Bottle of Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur

Moving in NYC is never a fun thing, having to move because your building is sold is even worse. When I thought we were moving recently, the first thing I packed up was my spirits collection and this bottle of Nux Alpina Walnut Liqueur was a little too tall to fit in the boxes I had brought home. So when the apartment we had applied for to fell through a few days later this, a bottle of Del Capo Amaro and a the last of a bottle of Plantation 5 year were all that I had available. So I tried a little of this one on its own and I was reminded of how good this is. The bitter green walnuts are balanced by the sweetness, the citrus and the alpine botanicals. Then I tried the Nux with the Armaro and the flavors complemented each other very nicely. Same with the Rum! So I tried them altogether over a cube of ice and man did that go down smooth!
