To be great, a Moscato needs two things: balance and minerality. The sweet, floral Muscat grape requires complementary acidity, and minerality gives the wine its complexity. Oddero’s Moscato has both, and it is delightful.

Oddero may be famous as one of Piedmont's top producers of serious, long-lived Barolos, but they have a playful side too. Set amongst their treasured nebbiolo vines is a parcel dedicated to Moscato Bianco, from which they make small batches of their Moscato d’Asti. It's fun, playful, slightly sweet, and gently sparkling with gorgeous aromas of orange blossom and peach, like spring itself in a glass. The low alcohol content makes it perfect for brunch, or for mid-afternoon tea with pastries.
