Spring has sprung! Which means it is time to roll out the red carpet for fresh and easy wines for warm weather and Sundays in the park with close friends. This Albariño is exactly what I am rocking out with. It tastes like bottled sunshine and a cool sea breeze. Expect light citrus notes of lemongrass and lime zest as well as a light minerality. Always fresh and easy, you definitely can't go wrong with this wine's pricepoint either considering it can go head to head with many higher-end French Sauvignon Blancs at nearly twice the price. Drink this with mussels cooked in a white wine sauce with shallots, garlic, and butter and you will make for an amazing and simple evening. Or afternoon...or morning.
