Each harvest after vinifying their world renowned Barolo wines the Barale family distills a precious amount of the pomace and ages the new make distillate in select French Oak casks for two years. Like their wines, the result is a spirit that is decadent and elegant with heady notes that flow from the glass in ordered procession with notes that include jasmine, vine flowers, Mandarin orange peels, assam tea, vanilla, cardamom, and spice. One of the best grappas around especially at this value.
