Kings County Peated Bourbon Whiskey

Item # 40807 750mL

Made with the same methods as their classic Bourbon with a mash of 80% organic , non GMO local NY grown corn and malted barley from the UK. But for this expression the malted barley has also been peated with Scottish peat adding that tell tale smokiness to the richness of new American oak and the earthy, caramel and light fruitness of the grain.

Staff Pick Notes

A match made in whiskey heaven, Brooklyn's own Kings County Distillery combines classic US bourbon sweetness with classic UK peatiness to create this real tasty bottle. Made from organic corn and grain from New York State and malted barley from Scotland and England, its a non-chill filtered gem made in Scottish built copper pot stills. Trademark bourbon notes of caramel, marshmallow and vanilla dance alongside a bit of smoke, dark chocolate, and a noticeable salinity that cuts the sweetness beautifully. The peat is more apparent on the palate than the nose, giving this spirit lovely complexity. Aged merely "1 year or more", this is a young, brilliant, and feisty bourbon, and as Judas Priest once said: "You don't have to be old to be wise." Rock on Kings County, rock on.
