You are bound to find everything and anything lurking around in their cellars. But that doesn't mean they don't know the staples that put a classic bar or drink together and when they go down those roads, you'll feel like you are somewhere you've been before but something has changed. Welcome to Nowhere. There are layers on citrus built into this typically straightforward liqueur. Essential oils, fresh bright peels, pithy bittersweet flavors and earthy notes of the orchard will contribute more character to your drinks and baked goods than your run of the mill triple.

When Leslie Merinoff started Matchbook Distilling, she set up shop out on the North Fork of Long Island in a place surrounded by farmland. Her idea: to make small-batch artisan spirits with as many of the ingredients sources locally. Farm to bottle spirits. Her triple sec starts with fresh, organic, whole navel oranges macerated overnight in her organic, corn-based vodka. Everything is distilled the following day, diluted and sweetened. It clocks in at a refreshing 24% abv, bringing fresh orange, mandarin honeysuckle aromas with a deft touch. A must for cocktail afficionados. The Ultimate Margarita 2 oz Azul Force or Atanasio Blanco Tequila 1 oz lime juice 1/2 oz Nowhere triple sec 1/2 oz simple syrup Lime wheel Shake all ingredients and pour into salt rimmed glass with ice.
