Tasting Notes

The very first bottled vermouth from the Andes, La Fuerza Blanco is made from a base of naturally grown Torrontés and infused exclusively with herbs and botanicals and native plants gathered from the foothills of the Andes. Created by four friends and lovers of gastronomy who operate the famed La Fuerza Vermouth Bar in Argentina. The golden color hints at the rich flavors of preserved lemon, and the honeyed unctuous palate that gives way to more herbal and floral notes of gentiand and chamomile. Zero additives or preservatives.

Staff Pick Notes

When La Fuerza vermouth bar opened in 2018 it became such a hot spot in Buenos Aires that within a year it was one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 World’s Greatest Places of 2019. One of the reasons it was so special was the homemade vermouth served on tap. They make a white and red, both from local Mendoza grapes and use over 40 hand-harvested botanicals, all collected from the Andes foothills. Torrontes is the base wine for the blanco, which lends a full-bodied richness and beautiful aromas of honied lemon and dried flowers. While there is a hint of sweetness, a gentle bitterness predominates with notes of white grapefruit, gentian, sage, anise, and dried flowers. This is a great summer sipper, served on ice with a slice of lemon. Viva la hora del vermu!
