The classic, famous Camut Pommeau has been reworked here as a slightly more complex and more personal expression from Emmanuel Camut himself. A Norman specialty the core of this special drink is a blend of 2/3 apple juice with 1/3 calvados with over 25 unique varietals going into the blend, each grown by the Camut brothers exclusively on the grounds of their ancient family estate.

Staff Pick Notes

Admittedly, during the colder months, I love to turn to ciders and Pommeaus. The essence and flavor of concentrated apples just speaks to me, and none are better than those from the Camut Family. Adrien and Emmanuel Camut have produced immaculate Calvados distillates for years and make beautiful Pommeau as well (though they do not qualify for Pommeau de Normandie status due to their soil composition). As such, Emmanuel decided to experiment by taking apple must and boiling it down over a gentle flame, before blending in 4-year-old Calvados and maturing in cask for 12 months. An aperitif of stunning quality and deep concentration with flavors of poached apples, caramel vanilla, star anise, layered pastry dough, and an almost molasses-like character, this "Aperitif Normand" is a perfect choice if you want to indulge in apple euphoria.
