Kapriol Bitter Liqueur

In the world of Amari, the lines can often be blurred between what is an amaro and what is a liqueur. This is exactly the case for Distilleria dell’Alpe's Kapriol. Created in 1948 by Ferrucio de Bernard using a wheat neutral grain spirit base, the alcohol is then infused with Juniper along with a slew of other herbs and sugar to create what can be perfectly described as a gin liqueur with a touch of bitterness on the palate. The flavor profile is predominantly juniper with some subtle notes of pine and mint on the back end. It's local name is Distillato del Bosco, meaning Distillate of the Forest around San Pietro di Feletto, located in the Veneto region of Italy. Feel freet to drink neat or even combine it with soda water over the rocks as a simple and refreshing beverage.
