All deliveries require an adult signature.
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and receive wine and spirits.

Prohibited States

Due to restrictive regulations, we cannot accept orders for shipment to the following locations:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah

We do not ship internationally.

Shipping in New York State

We offer free ground shipping on orders over $99 (pre-tax) in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and orders over $199 (pre-tax) elsewhere in New York State. For Wine Club orders, each month’s total purchase amount must exceed the above minimum amounts to qualify for free shipping.

Lower Manhattan

Free Delivery On Orders Over $99 (pre-tax)

Astor offers free delivery from Battery Park to 125th Street (Mon. through Sat.) on orders that exceed $99 pre-tax. Orders placed before 12 noon will generally be delivered the following business day, barring seasonal peaks in delivery volume and inclement weather.

Orders placed on Sundays will be delivered as early as Tuesday, unless otherwise informed. You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed confirming your scheduled delivery date.

Upper Manhattan
(above 125th Street)

Free Delivery On Orders Over $99 (pre-tax)

Astor offers free delivery to Upper Manhattan on Wednesdays and Saturdays only on orders that exceed $99 pre-tax.

Brooklyn

Roosevelt Island

Astor offers free delivery to Roosevelt Island on Wednesdays and Saturdays only, for orders that exceed $199 pre-tax.

Orders placed before 12:00 noon on Tuesday or Friday will generally be delivered the following day, barring seasonal peaks in delivery volume and inclement weather. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirming your scheduled delivery date.

New York State

Free Ground Shipping On Orders Over $199 (pre-tax)

Astor offers free shipping via Fedex Ground throughout New York State on orders that exceed $199 pre-tax. For orders under $199, regular Fedex rates apply. There is an optional 1% charge for insurance against breakage and loss, which you can decline at checkout .You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed confirming your scheduled shipment date, and then a subsequent email with your tracking number with which you may track your order. Please note: Fedex orders do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday.

During times of extreme heat or cold, we will gladly hold your purchases until we can ensure safer travel. If you opt to have your order shipped during such extreme weather, Astor cannot assume responsibility for the condition of your wines upon delivery.

Shipping Outside New York State

Orders are shipped via UPS or Fedex by Ground Delivery only, or you may choose to pick up your order at our New York City store location. If you select the shipping option, shipping costs will be calculated at checkout. There is an optional 1% charge for insurance against breakage and loss, which you can decline at checkout. UPS and FedEx orders do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday. UPS or Fedex will contact you within two business days from the day your order is shipped with your tracking number, shipping date, and anticipated delivery date.

For all orders to be delivered to states other than New York, California and Washington D.C., once your purchase is complete, you hereby authorize us to transfer your purchased items to a third party shipping company that works with UPS or Fedex. Because of this transfer, delivery may take up to 13 business days. You hereby agree to take sole responsibility for complying with all laws regarding importation of alcohol into your state. Title to, and ownership of, all alcoholic beverages passes from Astor Wines & Spirits to buyer in the State of New York, which is why we charge New York sales tax on your order.

Optional Insurance Coverage

For 1% of your order value, you will be covered for loss or breakage on all orders shipped via UPS or Fedex. If your bottle arrives broken, or never arrives at all, let us know and we will make arrangements to replace it, free of charge. Insurance only applies to UPS or Fedex shipments.

By refusing insurance, you relieve Astor Wines & Spirits of any and all responsibility for breakage or loss that may occur to your order.

Gift Cards

Gift cards shipped without any other merchandise ship via Fedex Ground and have a flat rate shipping fee of $5 regardless of gift card amount.

Returns & Exchanges

Defective merchandise may be returned for exchange of product(s) of equal value upon presentation of the following: sales receipt, original bottle (with wine to be evaluated) and cork. No cash, credit, or store credit can be issued.

Missed Deliveries

For Astor truck and messenger deliveries, if no one is available to receive the package when delivery is attempted, your order may be subject to a $20 charge for re-delivery.

P.M. Delivery Service

Delivery Minimum

Orders must meet or exceed $125.00 before sales tax charges to qualify for free next-day P.M. delivery.

When & Where

For deliveries in Manhattan from Battery Park to 125th Street, you may now choose a three-hour window for your delivery between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Restrictions

Orders placed by 4:00 p.m. can be delivered the next day, subject to the following restrictions:
No Sunday deliveries. Orders placed by 4 p.m. on Saturday can be delivered as early as Monday, and orders placed by 4 p.m. on Sunday can be delivered as early as Tuesday.

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase and receive wine and spirits. All deliveries require the signature of an adult 21 years of age or older.

Will Call Orders

Orders are usually available at our store at 399 Lafayette St. three hours after placing your order at the Will Call desk located to the left after entering the store.

Orders placed online until 5 pm Monday through Saturday usually can be picked up by 8:30 pm the same day and orders placed after 5 pm are usually available at noon the following day. Orders placed until 2 pm on Sunday usually can be picked up by 5:30 pm the same day and orders placed after 2 pm usually will be available at noon on Monday. You can select a pick-up date up to six days in the future. Orders can only be picked up when the store is open, which is 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 pm on Sunday.

Please note your order completion is subject to us confirming we have the available inventory. We will contact you if we have any problems with your order. That’s why we ask for a phone number. You will receive an email once your order is processed and ready to be picked up.

If your credit card is listed as “unverified” on the billing page, you will have to come into the store with your credit card and a government-issued form of identification to pick up your order. We will charge your card at that time. If your credit card is listed as “verified” you or someone else may pick up the order if you supply that person’s name on the shipping page. We require government-issued identification for the person picking up the order. For security, it is best to bring the credit card but this is not mandatory. You must be 21 or older to pick up an order and we will remind you of these rules when you place your order and in the emails.

A small number of large and/or fragile bottles are only available for shipping to Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens. If your items are in this group and you try to ship them outside of Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens you will get a message on the website asking you to call the store to arrange a will call pickup.

We will only hold your order for two weeks and if it isn’t picked up by then your merchandise will be returned to stock and may not be available in the future. When merchandise is returned to stock, we will also process a refund if you prepaid for your order.
