Italy's Marche through the Lens of Fattoria Dezi

Fattoria Dezi's 30 acres of vines grow along the hillsides surrounding the estate's winery in Italy's Marche region. After World War II, Romolo and Remo Dezi, brothers and natives of Servigliano, chose to plant the one-of-a-kind, indigenous Montepulciano grape, which many believe comes from the Abruzzo region futher to the south. The whites and reds from this winery are unsurpassed. Taste them for yourself.

Meet the Winemaker: Deneufbourg

When Corinne and Damien Deneufbourg took over their family’s domaine, they decided to continue a tradition established by over four generations. Previously, the harvest was taken to the local co-op for vinification and bottling. Corinne and Damien decided to take this up on their own. With the goal of absolute respect for the terroir and the environment, they converted the domaine to organic agriculture in 2010. Come taste four of their epic wines with us.

Raicilla: Take a Step Back in Time

Raicilla is a drink of pre-Hispanic origin, much appreciated by the ancient indigenous people of Mexico who claimed its consumption increased vitality, strength, and health. These native people produced it by utilizing fermentation as a basis of the production process. The original craft includes the use of wild agave plants, which are now cultivated for this purpose in some parts of the central and coastal areas of Jalisco. Come try a spirit that pre-dates the Hispanic people.

A New York Story: Distiller David Nahmias

What do legendary bootlegger Legs Diamond and figs have in common? They both happen to be the centerpieces of projects helmed by New York-based Master Distiller David Nahmias. Nahmias's Legs Diamond Rye Whiskey comes from organic, New York-grown rye, and his Mahia Fig Spirit comes from local figs and a small dose of anise seed. What better way to support New York agriculture than to come out for a taste of spirits made right in our own backyard?
