Le P’tit Blanc by Les Sablonettes is a white wine that you will want to drink this fall season. The aromas and flavors may recall comforting fall favorites as baked apples, egg custard, peach cobbler, persimmons, and candied yams (Thanksgiving anyone?).The appearance is a deep, cloudy golden color that transitions to orange the next day. It’s supported by a brisk acidity that keeps the wine feeling fresh. Christine and Joël Menard farm biodynamically and practice natural winemaking. No chemicals are used in the vineyard, grapes are handpicked, no yeasts are added, and the wine is unfined and unfiltered. My guess is that it has had some skin contact time. Start your hearty fall dinner with this and an alpine Swiss cheese like Hoch Y Brig.
