Staff Pick Notes

What is the sound of one hand Clape-ing? The sound of burstingly ripe, juicy black fruit, violets, savoury black olives and a whisper of black peppercorn. It is the sound of plush, velvet tannins grounded by classic rusticity from old Syrah vines sourced from the two most southern of the Northern Rhône AOCS: Saint-Péray and Cornas. This is a harmonious CdR Syrah, powerful, elegant, and contemplative from the legendary King of Cornas, August Clape (1925-2018). Drink now with gusto, or hold for future enjoyment.
