Ever since I learned how to make Orgeat almond syrup (thanks Jake!), my favorite activity in life has been making, drinking, and sharing Mai Tai’s. It’s just a drink that is rich, silky, and complex. It’s the drink that made me try the Clement Creole Shrubb as the orange liqueur. Since it is rum based it blends naturally into the rum based cocktail. Its flavors are heightened with cloves and nutmeg. Half the rum is aged in barrel to add vanilla flavors. Try it in place of any triple sec recipes like Margaritas or Cosmopolitans. You’ll be glad you did.
