Tasting Notes

Made with dried hibiscus petals and elderberries this very feminine gin tantalizes the tastebuds with soft integrated flavors of berries, citrus and floral tones. Made by Brooklyn's NY Distilling Co and named for NY's legendary, witty poet Dorothy Parker this is a gin we would have loved to have mixed in a sour cocktail at the Algonquin Round Table. Botanicals are juniper, orange, lemon, grapefruit, cardamom, cinnamon, elderberry and dried hibiscus petals. Corn spirit base.

Staff Pick Notes

I do get it; some of them can taste like your grandmother's kitchen cleaner. I, too, have tasted those gins, but Dorothy Parker is NOT one of those. It's nice, light, approachable, and inviting. I very much appreciated the refreshing citrus quality. I think it would make for a perfect introduction for that first-time gin drinker. On the other hand, if you're a seasoned gin-fanatic, you, too, will appreciate a more easygoing style. AND it's local! Use it in your favorite cocktails or enjoy on its own.
