Developed in the 19th century by Jean-Baptiste Combier, the recipe had been hidden in the archives until current Owner and Master Distiller, Franck Choisne re-created it. This exceptional liqueur is flavored by macerating herbs and botanicals sourced from all over the world. Ingredients such as cardamom, myrrh, aloe, cinnamon, nutmeg, and saffron add an aromatic spice that entices the nose and leads to a balanced mouth-feel of fruit, herbs, and citrus. Post-distillation, the alcohol is naturally colored with saffron for several weeks to achieve that beautiful yellow/golden color. There is no tasting note that could possibly describe the subtle beauty of Combier's Elixir.
