Kiuchi No Shizuku Hitachino Nest

It's a whiskey. It's a gin. It's an eau de vie. What is it? Well, it's all three....kind of. Kiuchi No Shizuku is distilled from a beer that you may have tried, Hitachino Nest White Ale. Any whiskey you have ever tried is distilled from some sort of beer, though only a miniscule number are made from drinkable beers that are already on the market. After distillation, this spirit is infused with orange peel and cardamom, like a gin. Further barrel aging gives this exotic liquid whiskey-like vanilla tones and wood spice. On the palate however, it drinks like an eau de vie. Whatever it is, it's delicious.
