We will be tasting two of Frank's breathtaking wines that show both his dedication to Riesling as well as his range as a winemaker, including the 2013 Dry Riesling and the 2012 Rkatsiteli. A Fresh Look at France

3:00pm to 5:00pm
Spring is the season of new beginnings, so why not get ready for spring (two week countdown!) with some fresh new wines? Sancerre might be known for its clean and mineral Sauvignon Blancs, but we'd be remiss to omit Sancerre Rouge--the light and lithe Pinot Noirs of the appellation--from our list of spring musts. The same goes for the white Loire wines made from Menu Pineau (known elsewhere as Arbois). If you're unfamiliar with either of these Loire Valley gems, we'll have the Gerard Pierre Morin "Bellechaume" Sancerre Rouge open at this tasting, as well as the Menu Pineau "Racines" from L'Epicourchois. Celebrate the end of winter with a look at two fresh and exciting wines!

Ridge Wines: A History of Fine Wine

6:00pm to 8:00pm
In 1885, Osea Perrone, a doctor and promiment member of the San Francisco Italian community, purchased 180 acres of land in California's Monte Bello Ridge. After terracing the slopes and planting vineyards on them, he created the Monte Bello Winery, releasing his first vintage in 1892. The property, long abandoned, was revitalized in the 1940s and began to produce noteworthy and competitive wines in the early 1960s. Today, Ridge, which incorporates several properties beyond Monte Bello, is known world wide for its outstanding wines, with a particular focus on Zinfandel.
