Calvados and Armagnac

If you’re a fan of Cognac, you’ll love Armagnac and Calvados. Explore these incredible spirits as we pour selections from two classic producers: The Dartigalongue Armagnac XO is aged for 10 years in French oak and expresses itself with notes of toffee and figs; The Dartigalongue Astor Blend Armagnac is an Astor exclusive with rich notes of caramel, honeycomb, cedar, and peaches; The Roger Groult 10yr Single Barrel Calvados has a silky texture and vivid flavors of apple and cloves; And the Groult Pays d’Auge Reserve Calvados is nicely spiced and easygoing.

Kilchoman Whiskies

Whisky is a drink for all seasons—even spring and summer! We’re tasting a couple from Scotch producer Kilchoman to sip on sunny days or add to your next Penicillin cocktail: The Kilchoman 100% Islay Scotch is a vatting of multiple ages matured in used bourbon casks and has flavors of malt, spice, and smoke; The Kilchoman Astor Bourbon Cask Matured Scotch is intensely floral with notes of rose petal, pine, and lavender with a hint of peat; And the Kilchoman Machir Bay Scotch is rich and full of savory bacon and bitter chocolate notes.

Chablis and Beaujolais

The sun is shining and it’s time to crack open the freshest wines you can find. We’re pouring a couple from three classic producers in Burgundy and Beaujolais: The Savary Chablis is a stunning white with notes of citrus zest and honeysuckle; Guy Breton’s Morgon “Vieilles Vignes” is an old-vine Gamay with tart red fruit flavors and lavender aromas; And the Thivin Brouilly is a red packed with purple fruits and savory herbal components.

Lejay Crème de Cassis

Lejay Lagoute has the distinction of being the creator of the first ever crème de cassis in 1841. The multiple steps to production ensure that freshness and richness are married together for the ultimate cassis expression. Taste a little bit of history when we pour this utterly delicious liqueur.

Springtime Burgundy Wine

The delicate reds and whites of Burgundy make them the perfect choice for springtime picnics. See for yourself when we sample a few selections from masters of the region: Jean-Paul Brun’s Bourgogne Pinot Noir is tinged with minerality; The Val de Mer Sparkling Rosé Brut is bright and crisp with cherry fruit; And the Piuze “Terroir Découverte” Chablis is from one of the coolest parcels in Chablis—resulting in a white with zippy acidity and lean minerality.

Veuve Clicquot Champagne

Veuve Clicquot is one of the most famous Champagne producers in the world—with their beloved house style that’s complex-yet-accessible. See what all the fuss is about when we pour two offerings from the esteemed bubbly producer: The standard Veuve Clicquot NV “Yellow Label” is imbued with citrus, minerality, and a luscious structure; And the Veuve Clicquot NV “Rich” is an elegant Champagne dedicated to mixology, with a touch of fruity sweetness.

Dillon's Gin

Dillon’s Small Batch Distillers was created by Geoff Dillon and Gary Huggins with an aim to restore Canadian spirits to their former glory. They have the very best of local ingredients, grain, botanicals, and herbs to use for their spirits. Taste for yourself when we sample two of their finest gins: Dillon’s Small Batch Rose Gin Liqueur is made from 100% Canadian Rye and infused with rose petals—resulting in flavors of herbal tea, honey, and marzipan; And Dillon’s Small Batch Unfiltered Gin 22 is made with a base of local Niagara grapes and includes notes of lemon, cardamom, coriander, and black peppercorn.

June Top 12 Mixed Case

This month's mixed case features a selection of easy-drinking wines tailored for summer: Keep the Schloss Gobelsburg "Gobelsburger" Grüner Veltliner on hand for thirst-quenching citrus flavors; Enjoy the Pittnauer “Pitti” and the Gordo Yecla on your next picnic or outdoor cookout; And the Nine Hats Riesling—with its peach flavors and zippy acidity—is always a good choice for warmer weather and spicy food. Singani Muscat Brandy

Just when you think you've tasted every type of spirit there is, Singani 63 Brandy comes along and changes that. We’ll be pouring this Bolivian spirit made from Muscat grapes grown high in the Andes Mountains. Seeing that Muscat is an aromatic varietal, known for its fruity and floral character, the result is a clean, perfumed, and vibrant brandy that drinks like a fruit-forward eau-de-vie.
