This comes from the region of Calabria in the south of Italy and is made from local grapes (mostly Magliocco Dolce) that are planted on rugged, terraced vineyards that slope down to the Savuto river. The fruit on this red wine is full of black berried types, licorice too. A wine for the table that's structured, tannic and drinking well today.
