Mark and Martial Angeli intentionally declassifly this red from Anjou as they do not care to bow to the whims of the appellation board. They do things their own way, and this small production red is a blend of Grolleau Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Gamay. The vineyard takes its name from the tendency for frosts to occur in early spring. Biodynamic since inception, the Angelis even use SO2 natually sourced from a nearby volcano. Pair with pork in an herbed mushroom sauce.
