Arbois-Pupillin Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes, Overnoy-Criquand - 2016

Item # 45970 750mL

An extremely traditional Jura white wine, this comes from 60 year-old Chardonnay vines. These are harvested later than all of the estate's other whites, and botrytis is often present in very small amounts. Elevage occurs in small used oak barrels, where it rests for 3 years. This is a rich and savory dry white with citrus, dairy and nut aromas. Pair with chicken and crayfish in cream sauce.

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...

The true specialty of the region,...
