Perfect for your next dinner party! The label itself is quite the conversation starter, and when I learned more about the history of this land, and of Mersel in particular, it all made sense. Mersel is the highest elevation viticulture area in the Northern Hemisphere, at over 2000m above sea level! Home to ancient Juniper and Cedar forests, this is where the Nubian Ibex thrived. It is also home to the Baalbek temple complex, encompassing some of the world’s greatest architecture dating back thousands of years! There is even a Temple of Bacchus on the grounds of Baalbek, so the God of Wine approves!
