The whiskey, a blend of staright Bourbons and Ryes, has taken on a dark red amber color from the time in Prisoner casks and the wine's famous notes of preserved red fruits, cola and pepper are front and center. The high bottling proof helps make sure the whiskey is never lost in the ocean of wine cask notes.
