Staff Pick Notes

100% Pinot Noir. 5 Words: Pear, Allspice, Cherry, Zesty, Stunning. Benedicte and Stephane Tissot have become iconic in the Jura. Stephane’s parents founded the domaine in 1962, but Stephane pushed for an entire elimination of chemicals, organic farming, and for Demeter biodynamic certification. They have around 35 hectares, including parcels at some of the best sites in Arbois and Cotes du Jura – Bruyeres, Chateau Chalon, Curon, and more. Their small team is able to showcase so much of what the Jura is about with joyfulness, and all the while maintaining an accessible price-point. The base vintage of this champagne method sparkler is 2019, and it was disgorged in April 2022.

The true specialty of the region,...
