Holmes Cay 11yr Trinidad Single Cask Rum - 2012

The rums of Trinidad need no introduction. Historically, they are arguably the most significant and collectible of any rum - check out current prices for old Caroni as reference. This single cask comes from some of the final spirit distilled from the defunct Ten Cane Distillery. Made from fresh cane juice the spirit was aged in ex-Cognac French Oak for 4yrs on Trinidad, 5yr in the UK and 2 additional yrs in New York in an ex-Rum cask prior to bottling at a natural cask strength of 59% abv. Powerful with the burst of flavors on the palate, the rum shows remarkable balance and nuance after the first couple of sips.
