Staff Pick Notes

Merwah is an ancient indigenous white grape from Lebanon. It has been used for centuries for winemaking and for Arak, a famous Middle Eastern liqueur, production. It's part now of a recent renaissance in white wine production in Lebanon. In the middle of the 19th century a group of Jesuits established a mission in the Bekaa Valley. Shortly after, they found a group of underground caves, probably created by the Romans. A perfect environment for wine storage. Those caves are still used today. This wine has delicious flavors of tropical fruits, lime and melon supported by a balanced acidity. Fresh and delicious, I would pair it with chicken kebabs!
