Tasting Notes

To discover the story of Piedmont, many rightfully look to the legendary wines made there for centuries. However the Castello di Barbaresco has compiled a priceless library of these historic artifacts in spirit form for decades as well. Made from the 1980 harvest of Barbaresco made by Bruno Giacosa from the Gallina di Neive. Distilled on December 29th 1980, it was eventually bottled on March 12th 1982 at 50% abv for an extremely limited run of 215 liters. After decades in the Veronelli cellar in nearby Bergamo, their is some natural staining on the label. The fill is sitting just above the neck and the original cork closure and tax stamp are intact, We recommend a decanting after a careful opening.
