New mezcal from the proprietor of the legendary mezcaleria, In Situ , in Oaxaca. Made from Penca Verde, Maestro Mezcalero Valentín Celis distilled the plants in clay pots at their origin in the village of Zimatlán. This rare agave is almost certainly unlike anything you've ever tasted. It can play tricks on your senses, but you'll be more than happy to go under its spell. This is a magical, transporting spirit.

I LOVE-LOVE this mezcal! On first whiff I was instantly transported to childhood tennis lessons. An intense smell memory rushed back to me opening a new can of tennis balls. I could feel even feel their fuzzy texture. After the initial nostalgia, then the aromas come in various waves: savory barbecue, wet earth, preserved lemons, and finally a smoked malt finish. I was not drinking hooch on the courts back then, but next time I pick up my racket and put on my short shorts I will be tempted to pack some Farolito too. Made in minute quantities from the wild species of agave Penca Verde, this bottling is a definite Grand Slam of flavors.
