Tasting Notes

This easy Moschofilero gives fresh stone fruits, apricots, and ripe citrus. A note of rose petal with slight sweet spice finishes the profile. This classic Greek wine is delicately balanced with zip and a clean focus. Ideal with whole fish smothered in herbs.

Staff Pick Notes

Moschofilero means "aromatic flower" in Greek. This wine is just that, displaying an array of fresh floral aromas along with lemon citrus and some peach/stone fruit. An example of a versatile sipper/aperitif to greet your guests with or to go with fresh-caught grilled white fish. These grapes are grown in high-altitude (700-800 meters) hilly terrain that has good drainage. Hot during the day and cool at night gives you ripe grapes with preserved acidity. 9-10 hours of skin contact also help maximize flavors and bouquet.

Astor's Glossary of Terms
