Tasting Notes
The La Casaccia estate is an 8 ha family estate located within Asti - in the Cella Monte area where you find soils that are chalk and marl-based. This Barbera is grown in the Monferrato area and is fermented with ambient yeasts. Unoaked and refreshing on the palate. Husband and wife, Giovanni and Elena Bassignana acquired an 18th century abandoned villa named La Casaccia decades ago. Today, it's fully restored and also has a subterranean cellar that was excavated into the local sedimentary rock.
