Tasting Notes

Claude de Nicolay has always made her wine with a hands-off approach, using minimal sulfur, but in this bottling she chose to use no sulfur at all. This Premier Cru, Les Lavières, is pale in color with violets and raspberry aromas. The palate is mineraled and clearly affected by the limestone rock that the vines grew in. Traditional with no new oak.

Fans of rich, unctuous, and well-oaked Chardonnay will enjoy Chassagne-Montrachet, whose age-worthy offerings offer all the fatness...
