Wine made from grapes grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers and herbicides in the vineyard.
Pošip is an ancient indigenous grape that originally comes from the island of Korcula, where the grapes for this wine were grown. The vineyard's inland location, and the influence of the Adriatic provide a dynamic winegrowing environment. This dry white is medium-bodied, and fermented and aged in stainless steel. Pair this fruit-forward, herbaceous, and saline wine with grilled fish and fried bread.
The Skaramuca family owns the largest vineyard in the appellation of Dingac, with only a small handful of growers producing limited quantities of wines. Posip is an incredibly old indigenous Croatian varietal (dating back to the 4th century BC) and originally comes from the island of Korcula, where Skaramuca sources the grapes for this wine. This Posip is light-golden in color; it sees some skin contact for a couple of days, just enough to give the wine a fuller and plush mouthfeel, but no obvious signs of tannins. You'll get some bright notes of melon and dried herbs, a fresh briny minerality, and an elegant richness. The perfect pairing for most seafood dishes, but I would even enjoy this on its own. This is definitely an underrated wine.
