A fragrant, full-bodied and delicate aromatized wine prepared according to an original recipe. It is an extremely versatile sweet vermouth that can be served as an aperitif or used as a cocktail ingredient.
Here's the story of a lovely distiller, who was dreaming of three very lovely... vermouths. For all intents and 1970s-TV-nostalgia purposes, let's use our imaginations! First came Marsha (rosso vermouth, 1757): beautiful, rosy, syrupy sweet. Years later, Cindy (extra dry vermouth): delicate, flowery, golden. But what about the middle child? Why does everyone forget Jan? Marsha, Marsha, MARSHA! Bianco vermouth is an oft forgotten option for jazzing up practically any classic cocktail. Sweet, white, and bitter, (sorry Jan), Cinzano's recipe flaunts cinnamon, citrus, and clove aromatics. Try it in your negroni. Smooth out your martini! Or use it my favorite way: stirred with an equal portion of fino sherry, strained into a coupe, lemon twist for garnish. I dedicate this cocktail to Jan, a far out, groovy chick in her own right.
