Tasting Notes
A wonderful Armagnac for the novice and aficionado alike. Tenareze is known for its softer and more refined brandies compared with the other districts of Armagnac. Pellehaut's is full of ripe fruits but still retains some of that signature Armagnac spice.

Staff Pick Notes
Domaine de Pellehaut (“High Point”) in Montreal du Gers, Ténarèze is run by Gaston Béraut and his sons, Martin and Mathieu. Using both Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche for their eau-de-vies allows for Armagnacs with complexity, depth and poise. All wines used for distillation see some aging on the lees with battonage as well.
This reserve is a 50/50 ratio of wines from both grapes whose ages range from 9 to 15 years old. Using barriques of local oak from the property and Limousin casks which lend more tannins, this results in an emphatic upfront expression of flavors that includes figs, toasted cereal, and cinnamon with a quaint, gentle finish that is characteristic of Tenareze brandies.
