Tasting Notes

Our third and oldest single barrel to date from one of our favorite distillers, bottled at cask strength as always. The extra year and a half in cask compared to our previous barrels has made a huge difference on the flavors for this whiskey. Notes here open up with a wave of that tell tale lavender that we've become familiar with from this producer that blows away to reveal an underbelly of crisp bittersweet apples, roasted corn husks, orange marmalade, whole cloves and cinnamon stick rounded out by a drying oak spice finish. A few drops of water or a rock open this up a bit pushing each of the flavors to their limits and leaving you're mouth watering and fully primed for the task at hand.
