Two Stacks The First Cut Irish Whiskey

Perhaps the most impressive if not most interesting Irish Whiskies we have tasted in some years are being sourced, aged, bottled, created by this new independent bottler. The First Cut, which is there springboard for the experimental cask finished bottlings, is already an incredibl complex whiskey on its own, the likes of which no other distiller on Ireland is replicating. Created from five component whiskies all sourced from the Great Northern Distillery, this expression is composed of Grain whiskies aged in ex-Bourbon and New American Oak Casks, Unpeated Malt Whiskies, double pot distilled Peated Malt Whiskies and Single Pot Still Whiskies all aged around 3.5-4.5yrs minimum and bottled at 86 proof.
