Tasting Notes
Another first from this fledgling artisan distillery, highlighting just one of the reasons small independent distillers are so vital and interesting. Distilled like their other eau de vies from 100% fruit with zero additives, artificial flavourings or sweetners, the mangoes are sourced from Mexico at peak ripeness during the January-February season.
There are stunning heady fireworks in the aromas and flavors. The palate is focused, dry and elegant with a perfect balance of alcohol, rich, fleshy texutre and mouth-watering finish. The flavors take mango to another dimension making this suprisingly versatile whether sipped chilled neat or used in mixed drinks.

Staff Pick Notes
Mango...eau de vie? It's something I never knew I needed.
This is real, serious brandy. Some 25lbs of fruit goes into each bottle, nothing else. No additives, preservatives, or flavor of any kind. Rhine Hall sources mangoes solely from Mexico during the brief season of peak ripeness, making a spirit that keeps a sense of place and a moment in time as well.
The flavors are pure and complex, taking in the full range of flavor you'd expect to find in the fruit. Ripe and green at once, lightly herbal, it is powerfully aromatic, full on the palate, and a shockingly easy sipper considering the full proof. Father-daughter team Jenny and Charlie Solberg are consistently making not-just-good, great brandy in a love letter to the Austrian classics. This was my favorite, but you won't be disappointed by any of their bottles you grab off the shelf.
