This Nero d'Avola, from the huge organic producer Cantine Europa, does precisely that. Oodles of red berry fruit, a proper (yet soft) tannic structure and generous acidity make for an outstanding wine at an almost embarrassingly low price. It goes with any food you want, but importantly, it drinks just lovely on it's own - no small feat in this heat.
