The newest edition of this top of the range series from revered rye whiskey producer Whistlepig pushes the boundaries for barrel finishes not only for this series but for whiskey at large. To create it, older whisky stocks were finished in a combination of Mead wine casks and aromatic resin barrels traditionally used for the aging of ancient wines. Wow, the flavors here are truly unlike anything else. Bottled at a natural cask strength. In very limited release.
