Wild Turkey 8yr 101 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

It was not all that long ago that a milestone 8yr aged Wild Turkey 101 was released in celebration of 70 years of distilling by the great Jimmy Russell, the world's longest tenured spirits master distiller. Now we are being graced with a more consistent release of an 8 yr age statement 101, which bolsters the base age statement of the original line and brings forward even more of the vanilla, pepper, and cinnamon undertone this "high rye" style bourbon brings to the table. While only featuring ~13% rye in the mashbill, other aspects of the production accentuate the underlying tone the grain brings to the table and showcases the powerhouse product that has been a staple in the market for over 80 years now, and looks likely to lead the path forward for many more.
