The Loire Valley

The Loire Valley is home to a long and diverse string of vineyards on France's longest river that stretches from Massif Centrale to the Atlantic Ocean. It is the homeland of Chenin Blanc, and some of the absolute finest expressions of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc in the world. From light and crisp Muscadet, to the structured and intense whites of Savennières, to fruit-forward and peppery Bourgeuil and Chinon, the Loire has a wine for every occasion. Sancerre needs no introduction, but the appellation produces excellent reds and rosés from Pinot Noir as well as its famed Sauvignon Blanc.
