John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey

It's like butter... This is everything that Irish whiskey should be. A buttery oily consistency with a clean and slightly citrus flavor. The malt is not hiding in this one either. Although John L Sullivan is a blended whiskey, using both grain and malt whiskey, unlike many Irish blended whiskies on the market (without naming any names) this one gives the impression that they are using a much higher amount of malt whiskey, bringing it close in flavor profile to the more expensive single malts. The fact that John L Sullivan can do all this for about $25 is absolutely banana's! As a whiskey nerd, this is the bottle that I go for when I come home from a long day and just want to put something in my glass that does not demand all of my focus, but still does not leave me disappointed at all should I decide to give it some real attention.
