This aromatic white is a blend of two native Sicilian varietals, Albanello and Zibibbo. The wine is fermented dry; Zibibbo lends a floral, aromatic complexity while Albanello adds structure. It seems Occhipinti does her magic with whites as well as her reds.

Arianna Occhipinti is surrounded by wine makers. Her Uncle Giusto Occhipinti the man behind COS (you know the sicilian squat bottles of natural wine) is legend to have gifted Arianna her first plot of land. & her partner Eduardo Torres Acosta makes my favorite Nerello Mascalese of all time. This elegant Zibibbo is exploding with aromatic. White flowers, green sudsy herbs, & freshly washed cotton sheets. A clean mineral driven palate makes this wine perfect for loads of dishes from flaky white fish, linguini in clam sauce or even a pasta bolognese. AND THAT'S NOT ALL - let me throw you a few book recommendations to pair with this mouth watering wine: Gingerbread by Helen Oyeyemi (spooky), The Odd Woman and the City by Vivian Gornick (because... NYC) & Marlena by Julie Buntin. (Angsty teens anyone?)
